Fatigroup and formula SAE

Fatigroup is proud of the results obtained from the collaboration with the RACEUP team of the University of Padua in the Formula SAE 2019/2020 competition.

In Formula SAE Dynamic Events we were asked to maximize acceleration, braking and lateral grip performance: we were able to achieve these results by adopting an AWD (all-wheel drive) configuration, in which each of the four electric motors is directly connected to its planetary transmission.

If the transmission of power from the engine to the wheels is not efficient, in fact, the car is not able to reach acceptable levels of performance.

We also supported RACEUP with EDM, gearbox and crankshaft mechanics, achieving the accuracy required for maximum performance.

Formula SAE Dynamic Events remains an optimal field for us to translate the high level achieved in our engineering partnership with the world of the Academy into innovative practice.
